Line-item budgets, open allowances, and change orders written down before anybody swings a hammer. You should never have to ask where your money went.

Ryder has spent close to 30 years on job sites, first swinging a hammer and then running them. Lane Built Inc. exists because he got tired of watching clients get sold by one person and built for by another. The guy who shakes your hand should be the guy standing in the framing at 6:45 in the morning. That is the whole idea.
So the schedule stays small, a few homes and a handful of ADUs and renovations each year. It is not a marketing angle. It is the only way one builder can be on every site often enough to catch the things that turn into problems.
What you end up with is a house that was priced honestly, framed square, and finished by people who knew somebody was going to look closely. Budgets hold because we spent the time up front instead of guessing.

We take a few jobs a year on purpose. Fewer jobs means the owner is standing on your site instead of texting you from someone else's.
Northern California is hard on a house: 105 degree summers, wildfire exposure, expansive soils, wet winters. We pick materials and details that hold up here, not just ones that photograph well.
Lane Built runs as a team of three. Same faces from the first walk-through to the last punch item, backed by trade partners we have used for years. If you call, you get somebody who was on your site this week.
